New York Celebrity & VIP Private Jet Charter

Jet Charter NYC arranges private flights for artists, executives and public figures traveling into and out of New York, and we work directly with the agencies, labels, studios and management teams that book their travel.

Working with travel and logistics teams

A logistics team has a budget to meet, insurance requirements to satisfy and release paperwork to complete before anyone boards. Tell us what your company needs on file, such as a certificate of insurance or a signed release, and we will request it from the operator when we book. We can quote a single flight or a full schedule, so you can see the cost of the whole trip before you commit.

Arriving in New York quietly

Talent flying in for a premiere, a late-night television appearance or a show at Madison Square Garden or Barclays Center usually wants to arrive without a crowd. A private terminal keeps them away from the airline concourses. Teterboro, about eight miles from Midtown, is usually the closest business-aviation airport to Manhattan.

We only share passenger names and itineraries with the operator and the crew on the flight. If the trip needs to stay away from the press, tell us on the first call, so we can handle it that way from the start. Fashion Week in February and September and the Met Gala in early May bring a lot of well-known faces into the city at once, so book those dates early.

Tours, press days and equipment

A promotional tour or a run of concerts can mean a different city every day. We can plan the whole routing in one go and keep the same aircraft with the party where the schedule allows. A touring party usually includes security, management and crew as well as the artist, so give us the number of everyone who is traveling. Stage gear, instruments and merchandise can fly separately on a cargo aircraft, and our air cargo page covers the options.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

New York-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

New York has more airports to choose from than almost any other city, and the right one depends on where you are starting from on the ground. Teterboro, about eight miles from Midtown, is usually the closest to Manhattan and has a 100,000 lb operating-weight limit, Westchester County Airport in White Plains suits Westchester and Greenwich, and Republic and MacArthur serve Long Island. LaGuardia, JFK and Newark take private flights too, but each needs a reservation or approval under an FAA order, so we usually start elsewhere. Several of these airports can clear a flight arriving from abroad. Air traffic control delays reach the business-aviation airports as well as the airline ones, and from roughly November through March, de-icing can add time to a departure.
